What not to do!

The Backloading Company are here to help you. Here are some images of what not do when moving house.

Don't fill your fridge with anything. It's best that your fridge it empty. Also remember to empty your fridge and turn it off well before moving. It's always a good idea to also allow your freezer to defrost.

Remeber to leave your fridge or freezer standing for a few hours after your move before you turn it on.

Don't leave plastic tubes full. It is always best to have all your small items packed into a packing box, especially if you are moving interstate.

We always recommend that if your furniture was originally flat-packed that you dismantle it back to flat-packed before the move.

Again, don’t fill your fridge with items that could easily be put in a box. Your fridge will be safer and so will the items you put in it.

Fridges are also very heavy and when they have been completely empty it does lighten them up. This helps get your removal happening quicker with less damage to your fridge.

Here is an example of a TV unit which has been filled with items and taped shut. This is not a good idea. It could damage the TV unit and items inside it, and also make this TV unit much heavier then it normally would be.
Don't fill garbage bags with clothings or linen. it is much better to fill boxes with items to be moved because there is a better chance those items will be safe and it make it much easiser to stake the items when backloading.
